Samwise Lives!

I spotted Sean Astin (LOTR, Goonies, Rudy, etc) this afternoon at One World Cafe, our neighborhood coffee shop. Apparently his father John Astin (Gomez from the Addams Family) teaches across the street at Johns Hopkins. Awesome. He was dressed nondescript in a long blue peacoat, blue jeans and some canvas sneakers; clutching a book and chatting with the waiters. He left just as Raven and I were arriving, then went across the street to scribble something into a notebook. After a walk around Charles Village, Rae and I stopped at the same spot Sean did, in hopes that we could absorb some of his cosmic residue. Rae wanted to rub her butt on the wall to mark her territory, but I pulled her away before she had a chance.
