Geoff and I got together to play music tonight. It didn’t go so great. For some crazy reason we just started playing in the exact opposite way we should’ve been playing – with me on guitar / noise and Geoff on kit. We even had a long discussion beforehand, noting what we should do, what worked well in the last two sessions, what didn’t. It should’ve been me on noise and Geoff on guitar. We started off ok, the first few takes were actually pretty solid, but as luck would have it we weren’t recording any of them. Then as soon as we started recording, things just went downhill. That’s the way it goes sometimes I guess. If nothing else, it was a humbling experience.
